It can be a bona fide pain in the butt to build up any sort of significant footprint in social media. In my work at Local Reach Marketing in Colorado Springs, I have found that many of my clients end up in a state of bewilderment or paralysis re: how to market their product or service via Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc. One approach I see with some frequency is to take on an in-house social media manager. Another tack is to outsource to a firm that handles social media marketing for a portfolio of clients (i.e. solopreneurs such as myself).
